Partnerships formed under The Cardiff Commitment are creating science and technology resources to aid learning in Cardiff and the South Wales region. Resources are developed through innovative projects involving the Cardiff Council e-learning team, teachers from Cardiff schools, local businesses and Cardiff and Swansea Universities.
All resources are aligned with both the current science and computer science curricula, and with the forthcoming Science & Technology AoLE (Area of Learning Experience) in the new Curriculum for Wales, as well as linking with the DCF and LNF. One of the key aims of all the resources is to demonstrate a clear relationship between elements of the curriculum and real world experiences and job opportunities.
By fusing the expertise of world class university departments and cutting edge, sector leading businesses with the classroom experience of some of our most skilled and effective teachers, we are producing a range of science & technology teaching resources linked to additional experiential opportunities which can provide a significant boost to teaching and learning in Cardiff and the South Wales region.
